Axiom is seeking a Legal Consultant - LNG to support a Fortune 500 client across Asia, providing day-to-day LNG contracting, trading, and infrastructure guidance in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with commercial and trading teams, handle complex matters end-to-end, and deliver practical legal advice in a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional setting, with remote or on-site options.

Qualifications

• 10+ PQE with significant experience in LNG-related areas.
• Experience inCommercial transactions, commodities trading, or infrastructure.
• Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal support to LNG supply, trading and infrastructure across Asia.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on LNG and energy-related contracts.
• Support LNG trading activities with risk and commercial guidance.
• Advise on LNG supply, sale, transportation, and trading arrangements.
• Guide project-related documentation for LNG infrastructure.

Job description

Axiom is looking to hire a Legal Consultant - LNG to work with one of our Fortune 500 clients, supporting a busy and growing LNG business across Asia. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day legal support across LNG contracting, trading activities, and LNG infrastructure projects, working closely with commercial and trading teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role is focused on substantive legal work and would suit a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working directly with the business, handling complex and time-sensitive matters, and providing practical legal advice in a trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day legal support to the LNG Supply, Trading and infrastructure business across Asia.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of LNG and energy-related commercial agreements.
• Provide legal support for LNG trading activities, including advising on contractual, commercial, and risk-related matters.
• Advise on LNG supply, sale and purchase, transportation, and related trading arrangements.
• Provide legal guidance on LNG infrastructure and development projects, including reviewing and negotiating project-related documentation.
• Work closely with commercial, trading, project, and other business stakeholders to identify and manage legal and contractual risks.

Qualifications

• 10+ PQE with significant experience in one or more of the following areas relating to LNG:
• Commercial transactions
• Commodities trading
• Infrastructure
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Comfortable working on multiple matters simultaneously and prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of matters from start to finish
