The ideal candidate is hard working, detail oriented and self-motivated.

Job Summary

Four attorney general practice law firm on northeast Nassau-Queens border seeks full-time highly motivated legal assistant / paralegal to join our team and assist attorneys with trial and pre-trial matters as well as transactional matters. The ideal candidate is hard working, detail oriented and self-motivated.

General Accountabilities

Organizes, enters, and cross-references documents in a computerized database.

Obtains, assembles, and organizes documents pertinent to litigation.

Prepares pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.

Processes medical record requests, no fault applications and obtains lien information.

Manages calendar, schedules depositions and appearances

Job entails significant direct communication with clients

Job Qualifications

Experience: prior paralegal experience a plus

Dependability and Promptness

Good computer skills - experience with LEAP, Lexis, HotDocs, NYSCEF a plus

Good Organizational skills

Willingness and ability to work with others

Good written and verbal communication skills

Detail oriented

Ability to multi-task and work independently

Open to change and willing to learn new skills
