Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support a lead Attorney and a Litigation paralegal in a busy personal injury practice in Orlando. The role emphasizes calendar management, filing, and coordination of case logistics.

Candidates should bring strong organizational skills, at least 2 years in a legal admin role, and solid written and verbal communication abilities to ensure accurate, timely document handling and client communication.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s/Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
  • Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow.
  • Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts.
  • Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice.
  • Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, plus resolving billing issues with the billing attorney.
  • Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
  • Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems.
  • Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangements.

Summary

This role will work closely with a lead Attorney and Litigation paralegal. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.
