Trustpoint.One is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Legal Assistant in Downtown Orlando to join a collaborative and fast-paced team. The role supports attorneys and paralegals on bankruptcy matters, ensuring accurate document preparation and timely court filings.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Legal Assistant in bankruptcy law.
  • Experience preparing and filing bankruptcy-related legal documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with case management and administrative tasks related to bankruptcy matters.
  • Help maintain organized case files and documentation throughout the bankruptcy process.
  • Prepare, draft, and revise legal documents, correspondence, motions, pleadings, and bankruptcy schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documents prior to filing.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and documentation needed for bankruptcy filings.
  • Provide updates regarding case status and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Prepare and electronically file documents with bankruptcy courts in accordance with court rules, deadlines, and procedural requirements.
  • Monitor filing confirmations and maintain filing records.
  • Manage attorney calendars and coordinate meetings, hearings, court appearances, and deadlines.
  • Track important case milestones and filing dates.
  • Enter and maintain accurate case information within firm databases and case management systems.
  • Organize and update electronic and physical files.
  • Conduct legal research related to bankruptcy laws, procedures, and case precedents.
  • Assist with due diligence and fact-gathering efforts for client matters.
  • Prepare and respond to correspondence with clients, creditors, trustees, court personnel, and other parties involved in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and legal matters.

Key Responsibilities
Paralegal Support
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with case management and administrative tasks related to bankruptcy matters.

Document Preparation
