Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Legal AI Engineer to help law firm customers transform legal workflows with AI-enabled solutions. You will partner with Success, Sales, and Product teams to identify high-value opportunities, prototype AI-driven patterns, and translate requirements into technical designs.

You will travel to customer sites about a quarter to a third of the time, collaborating closely with engineers and consultants to deliver repeatable, scalable outcomes across complex environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a J.D. from an accredited US law school.
• Experience practicing law in a professional setting.
• Proven customer-facing experience with enterprise accounts.
• Familiarity with legal workflows (eDiscovery, due diligence, large document review).
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply AI tools and workflow technologies.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and prototyping is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and workshops with law firm customers to identify priority workflows.
• Scope AI use cases and demonstrate legal AI capabilities throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and implement AI-enabled solutions.
• Translate complex legal workflows into solution designs and integrations.
• Design, test, and refine advanced Legal AI workflows involving multiple products and customer systems.
• Document patterns, requirements, and lessons learned for future engagements.
• Communicate customer needs to product and engineering and support advocacy activities.
