Job summary

System One is seeking an experienced J2EE Developer to support Army data migration and legacy modernization. You will analyze a legacy Java EE/Oracle application, capture business rules, and document dependencies for engineers building the Palantir Foundry platform.

This role merges legacy understanding with modern data capabilities and requires occasional Fort Belvoir onsite support. The candidate will work in a primarily remote setup with periodic onsite visits, collaborating with DBAs, data

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise Java EE/J2EE applications.
• Experience with JSP, Servlets, EJB, JDBC, JNDI, JMS, MVC Model 2.
• Experience with applications deployed on WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss/Tomcat/Oracle AS.
• Experience with Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, stored procedures and views.
• Ability to analyze legacy codebases and extract business rules and dependencies.
• Knowledge of ETL, ELT, batch-processing concepts and data-reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document legacy Java EE application and data layer.
• Review code, DB logic, interfaces, and scheduled processes for behavior.
• Support ETL, PL/SQL objects, and batch-processing workflows.
• Document dependencies across schemas, integrations, and replication paths.
• Serve as liaison between legacy environment and Palantir Foundry engineers.
• Translate data transformations into actionable technical documentation.
• Assist with migration planning, validation, and decommissioning.
