Formación

• Bachelor's of Science in any field.
• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology Program; 2 or 4 year programs accepted.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician/Technologist or eligible for licensure in North Dakota.
• Ability to complete a master's level degree program.
• Three years of clinical practice experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to effectively use veterinary practice management software and MS Office.
• Ability to operate veterinary instrumentation (e.g., blood analysis instruments).
• Physical ability to perform duties of a veterinary technician.
• *Applicants that currently hold a MS degree meet this requirement.

Responsabilidades

• Teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses within the Veterinary Technology program and the Department of Animal Sciences.
• Develop educational materials pertaining to all aspects of veterinary technology.
• Provide academic advising for undergraduate students and mentorship to student clubs.
• Model a high level of veterinary care and professionalism.
• Serve on committees for the department, college, and/or university.
• Work as a part of a team to provide optimal instruction to students.
• Ability to complete a master's level degree program.

The Veterinary Technology program at NDSU is one of the 20+ programs accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association - Committee for Veterinary Technology and Education Activities that grants a 4-year, B.S. degree. The program was established in 1976 and has a strong reputation as a leader in the education of the next generation of veterinary technologists. Those interested in the position would be expected to:
