Course Description

The logic of procedures of social science methodology. Range of types of methods available for various approaches to quantitative social research. Problem formulation, design, data collection, and analysis of a research project.

Responsibilities
  • Teach SOC 360: Quantitative Research Methods
  • Develop and deliver course content, assignments, and examinations
  • Provide instruction and support to students in accordance with departmental standards
Minimum Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field
  • Must be able to work in the State of California (see CSU Out-of-State Employment Policy)
Preferred Qualifications
  • A doctorate or terminal degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field
  • Higher education experience teaching Sociology and/or Criminology & Justice Studies
  • Intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community
Salary
  • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full-time month
  • Salary based on Lecturers A or B classification ranges
