The Department of Public Health at California State University San Marcos seeks a part‑time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach PH 333 – Public Health Communications and Interventions. The course is a 3‑unit class taught over the semester.
This course provides foundational knowledge on public health communication, related theory, strategies, and application to planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health communication interventions. It explores the use of mass media and digital technology to influence diverse audiences and stakeholders, emphasizing strategic community‑based partnerships, cultural influences on messaging, and communication models responsive to context and public health‑specific communication needs.
Salary commensurate with degree level and experience. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 – $6,008 per full‑time month. Lecturer A Schedule: $5,507 – $6,6677 per full‑time month. The hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
