Job summary

Texas A&M University’s Wm Michael Barnes ’64 Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering invites applications for two (2) academic professional track positions at the Visiting Professor of the Practice, Visiting Lecturer, or other instructional ranks. These are 9-month appointments with possible summer extension.

Successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses, advise students, and participate in department activities, with strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Appointments at the Visiting Professor of the Practice level require a minimum of 20 years of professional experience and an earned master's degree or 18 graduate credit hours in Data Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Appointments at the Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Principal Lecturer, Instructional Assistant Professor, Instructional Associate Professor, or Instructional Professor level require a doctoral degree in Data Engineering or a closely related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach primarily at the undergraduate level in support of the development of the undergraduate program.
• Collaborate in instructing writing and communication.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate students.
• Participate in relevant aspects of the department’s activities.
