Position Summary

The Department of Finance and Innovation within the Ellis Schoolof Business Leadership (formerly Anderson School of Management) atthe University of New Mexico is seeking qualified candidates for aLecturer II position in Project Management to begin August2027.

This is a teaching-focused faculty position with primaryresponsibility for high-quality instruction in Project Managementat the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidatewill normally teach a 4/4 course load and will be expected tocontribute to the continued development of the Project Managementcurriculum and student experience. Research is not an expectationof the position.

The James & Gail Ellis School of Business Leadership (Ellis)is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools ofBusiness (AACSB) International and is one of the few in the worldto attain both an Accounting and Business Accreditation from AACSB.We offer BBA and MBA degrees in eight active concentrations as wellas an Executive MBA for working professionals. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Applicants must possess a Masters degree in Business,Engineering, or a closely related field by the applicationdate
  • Record of Teaching Experience within the last five (5)years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Evidence of professional, scholarly, or applied activities thatsupport teaching and curriculum development in ProjectManagement
  • Evidence of excellence or promise of achieving excellence inteaching Project Management courses at the undergraduate andgraduate levels
  • Has designated faculty qualifications that meet one of the fourAACSB accredited categories: Scholarly Academic (SA), PracticeAcademic (PA), Scholarly Practitioner (SP), and InstructionalPractitioner (IP)
  • A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of therich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of theuniversitys mission to serve local and global communities
