Job description

University of Virginia - School of Engineering: Systems and Information Engineering Instructor

The University of Virginia's School of Engineering seeks qualified applicants for teaching positions in Systems and Information Engineering. These positions involve teaching and providing content expertise for various programs.

Positions are filled on an as-needed basis according to curriculum requirements. Typically, appointments involve teaching a single course. This is an at-will faculty wage position without benefits. Opportunities may be available both on grounds at the University of Virginia and online. Submitted applications will be retained for future consideration for one year if no current openings exist.

Compensation and Requirements
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
  • A terminal degree or Master's degree in an appropriate field is required.
  • A strong commitment to teaching excellence is essential.
  • Previous teaching experience in the relevant content area is preferred.
