The Curriculum and Instruction Department in the College ofEducation at the University of Houston offers a broad rangeofundergraduate and graduate-level courses in education acrossmultiple content areas, including social studies and socialeducation, and occasionally has openings for part-time Lecturers.Interested and qualified candidates with experience in socialstudies/social education are invited to apply to be considered forthese temporary, part-time positions.

Lecturer appointments are made on a semester basis.

The minimum qualification of the successful candidate is a M.Ed.degree in a closely related field. A doctorate in a related fieldand relevant teaching experience are preferred.
