Job summary

Qualifications

• Capable of operating a stand-up sewing machine if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machine to join cut leather pieces for upholstering.
• Inspect fabric/material for flaws and defects.
• Join pieces according to sewing notes using sewing machine.
• Align pieces and trimmings following seams and markings.
• Use appropriate thread and long stitch length for leather.
• Handle leather with clips or tape; avoid pins.
• Read work tickets and sew notes for directions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workstation.
