Job summary

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Leasing Consultant for Pinewood Gardens to drive occupancy and deliver exceptional resident service. You will tour available units, screen applicants, prepare leases, and coordinate showings in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The position reports to the Community Manager and requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to Fair Housing laws. Full-time, non-exempt with community hours, weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some advanced real estate training, including familiarity with Landlord-Tenant and Fair Housing laws, and prior leasing experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License if operating a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Gives tours of apartments to prospective residents.
• Runs credit reports on prospective residents.
• Prepares lease packets.
• Inspects apartments prior to showing them.
• Maintains logs of traffic through the property.
• Leases units.
• Provides information over the telephone to prospective residents.
• Maintains a positive public relations attitude toward current and prospective residents.
