Block Multifamily Group seeks a Leasing Consultant to drive occupancy and revenue through a customer-focused leasing experience. You will support brand presence, digital marketing, and resident engagement, blending sales, marketing, and customer experience in a high-performing community.

The role requires strong customer service and sales ability, with experience in property management systems (Yardi preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consultative leasing experience from inquiry through move-in.
• Respond to and manage all prospect traffic via phone, email, chat, social media, and in-person.
• Conduct property tours aligned with prospect needs and lifestyle preferences.
• Maintain accurate prospect and leasing data in CRM systems.
• Achieve leasing, occupancy, and retention goals.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor pricing, and local demographics.
• Process applications, leases, renewals, and move-in docs.
• Maintain records including traffic and leasing activity.
• Inspect model/vacant units and spaces for readiness and curb appeal.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
• Maintain property social media platforms and respond to reviews.
• Support marketing campaigns and outreach to drive traffic.
• Plan and coordinate resident events and engagement activities.
• Assist with office operations and daily team activities.

SUMMARY

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for driving occupancy and revenue growth through a customer-focused leasing experience, while also supporting the property’s brand presence, digital marketing efforts, and resident engagement initiatives. This role blends sales, marketing, and customer experience to create a high-performing and community-driven environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leasing

• Deliver a consultative leasing experience from initial inquiry through move-in, focusing on relationship building and closing conversions
• Respond to and manage all prospect traffic (phone, email, chat, social media, and in-person)
• Conduct property tours aligned with prospect needs and lifestyle preferences
• Maintain accurate prospect and leasing data in property management and CRM systems
• Achieve leasing, occupancy, and retention goals
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor pricing, and local demographic factors

Operations & Administration

• Process applications, lease agreements, renewals, and move-in documentation
• Maintain accurate records including traffic, leasing activity, and reports
• Inspect model units, vacant units, and community spaces to ensure readiness and curb appeal
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, company policies, and local regulations

Marketing & Digital Presence

• Maintain and actively manage the property’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
• Create and post engaging content including photos, videos, reels, and community updates
• Monitor and respond to online reviews and reputation platforms in a professional and timely manner
• Support execution of marketing campaigns and outreach strategies to drive traffic
• Shop and monitor competitor properties, including their digital presence

Resident Experience & Events

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing resident events and community engagement activities
• Support resident retention initiatives by building strong relationships that enhance satisfaction and encourage renewals
• Represent the community brand at events and outreach opportunities

Additional Responsibilities

• Complete required training courses and participate in ongoing professional development
• Assist with office operations and support the community leadership team in daily activities as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong customer service and sales skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Comfortable using property management systems and digital platforms (Yardi experience preferred)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to operate property equipment and vehicles, including golf carts where applicable*
• Weekend availability required at most properties.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, which may include moving throughout the property, touring apartment homes, and accessing various areas of the community, with or without reasonable accommodation
