The Leasing Consultant reports to the General Manager. This role involves assisting with daily property operations to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition.

  1. Assist with leasing efforts to ensure high occupancy levels, including mailing renewal offers, logging responses, and managing property availability.
  2. Maintain accurate records of availability aligned with lease renewal reports.
  3. Review, approve, and present rental applications to the General Manager for approval.
  4. Manage property licenses and renewal processes, liaising with legal counsel and city authorities.
  5. Assist with resident check-out procedures, including key collection and unit inspections.
  6. Ensure accurate and efficient leases and resident check-ins.
  7. Address resident concerns and complaints promptly, maintaining good public relations and reporting to the General Manager.
  8. Prepare weekly performance reports as required.
  9. Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies to position the property effectively.
  10. Contribute to resident retention programs.
  11. Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, staff, and vendors.
  12. Perform general administrative duties such as filing and typing.
  13. Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  14. Obtain First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to do so.
  15. Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance (preferred).
  16. Operate office equipment and systems including fax, copier, telephone, computer, and key card systems.
  17. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Entrata is a plus.
  18. Accurately handle numerical data and documentation, ensuring grammatical and legal correctness.
  19. Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.
  20. Follow through on paperwork and meet deadlines.
  21. Maintain a positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude.
  22. Provide excellent customer service and effective communication in a fast-paced environment.
  23. Apply logical thinking and follow standardized procedures with minor deviations when necessary.
  24. Think rationally beyond specific instructions.
