Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Leasing Consultant in Eagle River, AK. You will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal activities to achieve occupancy and revenue goals, delivering excellent customer service to residents and prospects.

The role requires a dynamic, energetic communicator who can manage time effectively, work with vendors, and support Weidner’s Move In Experience with approved applicants.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle or reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work outside of normal hours.
• Driver’s license and auto insurance must be valid and current.

Responsibilities

• Walk marketing tour path and open target viewing apartments; ensure rent-ready units and community amenities.
• Respond to resident and prospect calls/emails promptly in the morning.
• Set viewing appointments and convert inquiries to tours.
• Tour prospective residents with energy and the Weidner way.
• Facilitate the application process and leasing at the end of tours.
• Review and process all applications promptly on receipt.
• Maintain timely communication with applicants regarding results.

Position Summary:

As a Leasing Consultant, you are a dynamic professional who easily relates and communicates with prospective and current residents of your community. With a warm and energetic personality, you will consistently find joy in creating lasting and positive impressions. This role is responsible for coordinating the communities marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue retention goals. A successful Leasing Consultant is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Walk marketing tour path, open target viewing apartments, ensure clean and rent ready apartments, model homes and community amenities
• Respond to resident and prospective resident calls and emails promptly in the morning
• Answer incoming calls, convert phone calls into walk in traffic, set viewing appointments
• Tour prospective residents with energy and enthusiasm the Weidner way
• Ensure successful leasing by facilitating the application process at the end of the tour
• Review and process all applications immediately upon receipt
• Timely and respectful communication with applicants upon receiving results
• Follow Weidner Move In Experience with all approved applicants
• Maintain and follow up on traffic in queue
• Shop competitive properties at least monthly; Adhere to daily marketing and leasing strategies
• Ensure market ready apartments, common areas and amenities are clean and maintained daily to Weidner’s quality

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experienced required
• Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
• Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
• Experienced in Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Yardi and Paycom experience preferred; Willing and able to learn new software programs
• Follow Weidner’s Mission, Vision and Values and comply with all Weidner policies and procedures as well as all Fair Housing, local, state/province, and federal laws
• Prompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code / uniform & maintain professional appearance at all times
• Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independently

• Working knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organized
• Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
