Job Summary

The Leasing Consultant conducts property tours, completes leasing processes with prospective residents, executes marketing strategies, plans and hosts resident events, and maintains positive resident relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Interview prospective residents and record their needs and qualifications.
2. Accompany prospects on tours of models and vacant apartments, discussing layouts, amenities, and lease terms.
3. Follow up consistently with prospects.
4. Process applications in accordance with policies and procedures.
5. Handle lease renewals as needed.
6. Schedule move-ins and complete all lease paperwork.
7. Inspect units prior to move-in to ensure readiness.
8. Follow up with new residents post-move-in.
9. Inspect property conditions regularly and coordinate maintenance.
10. Plan and coordinate resident events.
11. Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
12. Assist with marketing duties, including surveys and resident notices.
13. Adhere to all company policies, including safety and Fair Housing regulations.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• One year of leasing experience preferred.
• Up to one year of related experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.
• Experience with virtual and in-person tours preferred.
• Knowledge of property management platforms (e.g., Yardi, Entrata, Yieldstar, CRM) preferred.
• Marketing skills, including social media and resident event planning, especially in the local market.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
• A valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required depending on the property.

Environmental and Physical Demands

The role requires constant walking, standing, and sitting, with frequent stair climbing and occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing/pulling, and reaching. Lifting less than 10 lbs frequently and over 10 lbs occasionally. Strong finger dexterity and sensory skills are necessary. Work environment includes indoor and outdoor conditions with moderate noise levels. Potential exposure to chemicals and fumes.
