Job summary

BH Management, LLC is seeking a Leasing Consultant in Mesa, AZ to respond to inquiries, market, lease, and renew apartments while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will work under the Community Manager to market the property, stay informed on local market promotions, and process lease paperwork. A strong emphasis on communication, sales, and licensing is required. This role follows a Monday–Friday schedule on-site in Mesa.

• Market, lease, and renew apartment leases in line with company standards and Fair Housing.
• Respond to inquiries/leads from prospective clients to identify renters.
• Manage daily marketing, administrative, and financial operations under Community Manager.
• Maintain knowledge of community and local market promotions and floor plans.
• Process lease applications and prepare new lease contracts.
• Tour prospects of vacant/model units and common areas.
• Inspect pre-leased apartments before move-in and communicate issues.
• Log prospect data and communications in Property Management software.
• Respond to emails, voicemails, and texts promptly.
• Stay updated on promotions and leasing incentives.
• Assist with Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist (MOVIC).
• Post notices to vacate and assist with daily inspections.

Pay Range $23-24/hr

Position Summary

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for responding to inquiries/leads from prospective clients to identify potential renters, market, lease, and renew apartment leases in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines and provide excellent customer service. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customers. Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for ensuring the daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property under the direction of the Community Manager.
• Maintains a strong understanding of the community and local market competitor's specials and floor plans.
• Have comprehensive working knowledge of all aspects of leasing units and documents in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines.
• Processes lease application paperwork for the approval of the CM and prepares new lease contracts.
• Inspects all target and/or show units in advance and in preparation of greeting and touring new prospects.
• Touring prospects may include, but is not limited to, vacant or model units and common/amenity areas of the property.
• Inspect pre-leased apartments prior to the move-in date and promptly communicate any concerns to the Service Manager or Community Manager.
• Understands, utilizes and promotes all third-party online leasing programs appropriately.
• Ensure timely and accurate logging of all prospect information and notifications into our Property Management software.
• Responsible for checking, responding to and documenting community and individual emails, voicemails, and text messages.
• Stays up to date with all promotion/leasing incentives.
• Assist with completing Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist (MOVIC) accurately and within the specified deadline per Company standards.
• Post notices to vacate and other community communication, if applicable.
• Assist with daily community inspections to ensure community policies are being followed and addressing, if applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills

• Previous experience in a customer-facing/customer service role
• Demonstrated sales and closing skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people
• Where required by law, must have state leasing license or ability to obtain the required license(s) within the timeframe required by law

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday (work schedule may vary depending on business needs).

Physical Requirements/Environment

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Full range of motion with upper and lower body. Continual movement including, but not limited to: standing, walking, bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing stairs. Operation of a motor vehicle onsite, if applicable. Exposure to all weather conditions. Lifting at least 20 pounds.
