Job summary

Renewing Management, Inc. is seeking a Leasing Consultant in Indiana to serve as the first contact for prospective residents. You will conduct tours, explain community features, and guide applicants through the leasing process while delivering excellent customer service.

You will also support current residents, manage follow-ups, and assist with administrative tasks. A positive, organized, and competitive mindset is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college or technical training is preferred.
• 2 years of work-related experience in property management is preferred.
• Demonstrated history of time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Market the community to meet occupancy goals using online and traditional sources.
• Lead tours for prospective residents and guide them through the application process.
• Prepare and execute leases in compliance with property standards and regulations.
• Collect application fees, deposits, and rent payments using property management software.
• Document conversations and log activities for Fair Housing compliance.
• Coordinate with maintenance for unit readiness and inspections.
• Support the Property Manager with office and administrative tasks.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Leasing Consultant is the initial point of contact for our potential residents and leads. This position is responsible for giving tours to prospective residents and selling the features and benefits of our community. The Leasing Consultant will walk prospective residents through the application process and work with them daily to develop a rapport and ensure the highest level of customer service is met. This position also assists our existing residents. The Leasing Consultant must have a customer-focused demeanor, drive for organization, and competitiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consistently market the community via online sources and traditional sources to meet occupancy goals.
• Independently manage time to ensure completion of daily follow-ups, including tours, phone calls, emails, and text messages.
• Ensure units are clean and ready for move in by assisting maintenance and management with unit inspections.
• Prepare and execute leases in accordance with our property standards and regulations.
• Collect application fees, security deposits, and rent payments utilizing property management software as appropriate.
• Enter Service Requests as reported by residents.
• Document conversations in the activity log for good record keeping and Fair Housing compliance.
• Monitor the use of community facilities, including laundry room, mail station, and pool.
• Assist the Property Manager with various office and administrative tasks.
• Efficiently operate and understand personal computer functions and company utilized software.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrate high-level customer service to achieve customer retention and sales goals

• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college or advanced technical training is preferred.
• 2 years of work related experience in property management is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to leave the office to show apartments to potential residents to be considered able to perform a substantial amount of the regular job responsibilities.
