General Summary

Under the supervision of the Property Manager, the Leasing Consultant handles all aspects of leasing production at an apartment community.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet, greet, and tour leasing prospects
  • Achieve individual and group leasing targets; communicate opportunities or threats to the Property Manager
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all online rental inquiries
  • Understand site leasing trends, traffic patterns, and product availability
  • Maintain all sales and leasing models to high standards, reporting issues promptly
  • Keep the “tour route” clean and well-maintained, reporting problems as needed
  • Close sales effectively by asking for the sale
  • Ensure lead information is accurate and complete within Resman and Knock
  • Follow up with prospects via email, phone, or letter
  • Manage the community waitlist and communicate updates to prospects
  • Warm call prospects as necessary
  • Execute screening procedures properly
  • Prepare and execute lease agreements and move-in paperwork correctly
  • Collect all funds and move-in fees properly
  • Maintain “model open” signs daily, ensuring they look presentable
  • Support customer service efforts at the community
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
