Position/Title: Leasing Consultant

Reports to: Property Manager

Start Date: Immediately

Location: Birmingham, AL - Tower on Tenth

Our community in Birmingham, Alabama is looking for an experienced Leasing Consultant to join our outstanding management company!

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for converting prospects to leases to maintain and increase occupancy.
• Communicate effectively with residents to establish a successful renewal program.
• Prepare monthly leasing reports and conduct market surveys.
• Maintain office administrative needs, including lease files according to company policy.
• Walk vacant units and model apartments daily, ensuring marketing materials are displayed properly.
• Respond to all leads, conduct tours, and demonstrate market-ready units using relationship sales skills.
• Follow-up with prospects, monitor traffic, and log activities into Yardi system.
• Ensure quality presentation of models, spot clean units as needed.
• Obtain lease information, complete applications, and conduct screening and reference checks.
• Maintain accurate lease files.
• Assist with market surveys, outreach marketing, and community activities.
• Update social media, enter work orders into Yardi, and perform move-in/move-out inspections.
• Address resident concerns, document issues, and assist with newsletters and promotional materials.

Experience, Skills & Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of college or related sales experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required.
• Yardi Voyager knowledge preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking the property and climbing stairs.
• Effective communication skills; ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Experience in leasing multi-family properties.
