Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Leasing Associate for the FLATZ 432 community in Midland, TX. You will drive occupancy by delivering a professional, welcoming experience to prospective residents and guiding them through the full leasing cycle with a focus on exceptional service.

The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and some evenings, and a strong ability to communicate in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or residential property management.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Proficient in CRM platforms, leasing software, and other digital business tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to close leases.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and some evenings.

Responsibilities

• Greets and qualifies prospective residents and conducts property tours.
• Promotes apartment features and community amenities to drive leasing activity.
• Responds promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
• Processes rental applications, conducts background screenings, and prepares leases.

About the Role

As a Leasing Associate at Z Modular's FLATZ 432 community in Midland, TX, you will play a key role in driving occupancy by delivering a professional and welcoming experience to prospective residents while showcasing the community's lifestyle and amenities. This role supports the full leasing cycle, from initial inquiry through move-in, ensuring every interaction reflects exceptional customer service and professionalism. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-facing, fast-paced environment and takes pride in helping residents find a place to call home.

What You'll Do

• Greets and qualifies prospective residents while coordinating and conducting property tours.
• Promotes apartment home features, community amenities, and lifestyle benefits to drive leasing activity.
• Responds promptly to leasing inquiries through phone, email, and online platforms to maximize lead conversion.
• Processes rental applications, conducts background screenings, and prepares lease documentation in accordance with company policies and Fair Housing guidelines.
• Facilitates lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs to ensure a seamless resident experience.
• Maintains accurate prospect and resident records using CRM and leasing management systems.
• Supports resident retention initiatives and executes lease renewal campaigns to improve occupancy.
• Participates in marketing efforts, outreach events, and lead-generation activities to increase community visibility.
• Ensures model units and common areas remain clean, organized, and tour-ready at all times.
• Assists with planning and coordinating resident events, promotions, and community engagement activities.
• Promotes and upholds workplace safety in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Who You Are

• 1-3 years of experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or residential property management.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Proficient in CRM platforms, leasing software, and other digital business tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships and close leases.
• Professional, goal-oriented, and highly motivated in a customer-focused environment.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing regulations preferred.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and occasional evenings.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organization in a fast-paced setting.

Physical Abilities

• Performs essential job functions, including conducting property tours, inspecting apartment homes and community areas, and interacting with prospective and current residents.
• Walks throughout the property regularly, including navigating stairs and outdoor areas in varying weather conditions.
• Operates computers, phones, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
• Reviews documents and evaluates units and common areas for cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
• Stands or remains stationary for extended periods while assisting residents and prospects.
• Lifts, carries, or moves leasing materials, office supplies, packages, or event equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Follows established safety protocols and procedures at all times.
• Performs duties with or without reasonable accommodation as required by applicable law.
