The Lease-Up Leasing Consultant is responsible for effectively leasing apartments of the multifamily community. In addition to leasing activities, they also assist management with resident programs, admin, and resident retention strategies.

Essential Functions
  1. Greet, qualify, provide tours of the community, and present features and amenities to prospective residents
  2. Lease apartments: close the sale, secure lease agreements, obtain required information, process applications for approval (rental history, credit check, background check)
  3. Follow up with prospects regarding their application status
  4. Input information into computer systems accurately and promptly
  5. Ensure apartments are ready for residents on move-in date
  6. Assist the manager in collecting delinquent rents
  7. Assist in planning resident events
  8. Gather information about local market competition
  9. Follow company policies and procedures, and comply with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws
  10. Follow all safety procedures and report hazards
  11. Perform special projects and other assigned responsibilities
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Leasing, sales, and closing skills
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment (telephone, internet, fax, photocopier)
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills
  • Strong work ethic and adaptability to change
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Skills And Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of service industry experience
  • Willingness to perform both office and outside duties in all weather conditions
