Job summary

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation is seeking a Lease Operator in training to monitor wells and sites along an assigned route. You will supervise operations under a supervisor, perform routine checks, and ensure safe, efficient production.

You will gather daily data, report timely, and coordinate with foremen on daily plans. The role requires strong safety awareness, good teamwork, and ability to work nights or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Make routine checks on all well sites according to schedule.

• Inspect lease sites for cleanliness and debris control.
• Manage daily fluid production; gauge and record tank levels.
• Gather daily, monthly and quarterly data and submit reports on time.
• Recognize production issues and troubleshoot with foreman.
• Communicate plans and issues with production foreman.
• Work to optimize production safely and cost-effectively.
• Participate in on-call rotation including some nights and weekends.
• Check for spills, leaks and trip hazards; ensure vehicle is maintained.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Viewed as a Lease Operator in training or entry level Lease Operator. Works under general supervision of a supervisor or Lease Operator Lead. This position monitors, maintains, and reports the operation of wells and sites on an assigned route. Most problems require consultation with supervisor to resolve.

Special focus to be placed on:

• Make routine checks on all well sites according to schedule.
• Monitor production equipment including but not limited to compressors, pumpjacks, plunger lift, dehydrators, meters, separators, and safety devices; perform light maintenance on equipment as necessary to ensure all equipment is well maintained and operating safely.
• Inspect lease sites to ensure they are clean and free of debris and overgrown vegetation.
• Manage daily fluid production; gauge and record oil and water tank levels.
• Gather daily, monthly and quarterly data and submit all required reports and tickets in a timely manner; meets deadlines with few errors and/or missing information.
• Recognize production related issues and work with foreman and any other relative personnel to troubleshoot and resolve.
• Communicate regularly with production foreman on daily plans and issues; participate in periodic well reviews and safety meetings.
• Work to optimize productions in a safe, cost-effective manner.
• Participate in on-call rotation schedule which includes some nights and weekends.
• Check for and address spills, fluid leaks, and trip hazards.
• Ensure company provided vehicle is properly maintained.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
• Valid driver license.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident.
• Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes a hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the location and work performed.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another. This includes the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself (e.g., to stoop, kneel, or squat) to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend (e.g., ladders or uneven terrain)
• Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
• Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
• Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back. Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in performance of work
• Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights
• Lifts or carries 116 lbs. or more, which falls into the \"heavy\" category (over 50 pounds).
• Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs.
• Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions. The position requires the ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments, encompassing the essential physical requirements and efforts outline

Driver Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
• This position involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
