Job summary

Pnematech in Texas is seeking a hands-on laborer to perform oil and gas services, including tank battery construction, facility hook-ups, flow line work, and pipeline maintenance.

The role includes routine maintenance, emergency call-outs, and field repairs with a focus on safety, problem solving, and teamwork on site.

Physical requirements include lifting 40–60 lbs, standing long hours, and local travel between sites.

Qualifications

  • Must have basic knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment in oil and gas production.
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance/operations manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to follow safety rules and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform oil and gas services including tank battery construction, facility hook-ups, flow line work, pipeline construction and repair.
  • Perform routine maintenance on production equipment and assist in building pipelines and pumping unit assemblies.
  • Respond to call-out requests for maintenance, relief and emergency situations.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area and follow safety requirements.

Job description

Performs oil and gas services consisting of tank battery construction, facility hook-ups, flow line hook up and repair, building pipeline, pipeline leak repair, pumping unit assembly, backhoe services, tank and truck maintenance and general labor duties.

  • Performs miscellaneous dirt work, equipment work, and general labor work.
  • Performs routine maintenance on production equipment at new and existing facilities.
  • Performs and assists in the construction of tank batteries and facilities, and tank containment for production facilities.
  • Performs and assists in building and maintaining pipe lines, pipeline leak repair, and maintaining pumping unit assembly.
  • Assists in flow line installation, removal, and repairs.
  • Responds to call out requests as needed for maintenance, relief and emergency situations.
Skills
  • Basic knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment and hand tools used in the oil and gas production industry, including, but not limited to: backhoe, pneumatic and electrical tools, such as concrete vibrators, compactors, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jackhammers, and hand-operated trenchers.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and practices.
  • Basic ability to read and understand maintenance/operations manuals.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, delegation, and time management skills in order to set priorities and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to develop feasible realistic solutions to problems, recommending actions designed to prevent problems from occurring.
Licenses/Certifications

Current Texas driver's license and a satisfactory driving record preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Lift 40–60 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Able to quickly move hands, hands together with arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information through verbal communications in person or detect objects in and around job site.
  • Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents; operate various types of machinery and handheld equipment.
  • Walk moderate distances on slippery, even, and/or uneven surfaces.
  • Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, or crawl.
  • Climb and balance on stairs, metal/wooden beams, ladders, or other structures/elevated areas.
Working Conditions
  • Work primarily at job site performing work in outdoor weather conditions with exposure to extreme cold, heat, and noise depending upon project site; and may also include the following:
  • dust, fumes, chemicals, and/or other harsh/hazardous solvents or disinfectants
  • electrical components, power lines, or other electrical hazards
  • rebar, blades, or other sharp objects/tools
  • high elevations, trenches, or crawl spaces
  • Possible travel locally during the work day between jobsites, although some out-of-area travel may be expected with seldom overnight travel.
  • Work irregular hours to include nights and weekends.

  • Wear personal protective equipment as required, such as steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, and the like while on the job sites.
