Confidential in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Learning & Talent Development Manager to lead learning, leadership development, performance management, succession planning, and early career initiatives for a growing U.S. organization.

The role partners with senior leaders and HR to scale talent programs that boost organizational capability and employee experiences. The ideal candidate blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, with deep LMS and OD/TM expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR/OD/Business Administration or related field.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in Talent Development or L&D.
  • Experience designing enterprise learning and leadership programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead US learning and development strategy and calendar design.
  • Serve as LMS administrator, especially Workday Learning, and develop dashboards.
  • Design succession planning, IDP processes and leadership pipelines.
  • Oversee performance management and manager toolkits with coaching culture.
  • Develop internship and early career programs and campus partnerships.
  • Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, and leaders on talent strategies.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Learning & Talent Development Manager to lead learning, leadership development, performance management, succession planning, and early career initiatives for a growing U.S. organization.

This role will partner closely with senior business leaders and HR to build scalable talent programs that strengthen organizational capability, develop future leaders, and create exceptional employee experiences. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with deep expertise in learning management systems, organizational development, and talent management.

This position is based in the west Los Angeles area and follows a five-day onsite work schedule.

What You'll Do

Learning & Development

  • Develop and execute the U.S. learning and development strategy.
  • Conduct organization-wide Training Needs Analyses (TNA).
  • Design annual learning calendars and development programs.
  • Create leadership development and employee learning journeys.
  • Measure training effectiveness through analytics and business outcomes.

Learning Management System

  • Serve as the primary administrator for the organization's Learning Management System (LMS), with an emphasis on Workday Learning.
  • Maintain learning content, learning paths, reporting, and user experience.
  • Partner with HRIS and IT on enhancements and system improvements.
  • Develop dashboards to monitor learning engagement and compliance.

Talent Development

  • Design and implement succession planning programs.
  • Facilitate talent reviews and calibration sessions.
  • Build Individual Development Plan (IDP) processes.
  • Develop high-potential employee programs and leadership pipelines.

Performance Management

  • Lead the organization's performance management process.
  • Maintain Workday performance modules.
  • Develop manager toolkits and training.
  • Promote a culture of continuous feedback and coaching.
  • Analyze performance trends and workforce capability data.

Early Career Programs

  • Design internship and early career development programs.
  • Build university partnerships and talent pipelines.
  • Support internal mobility initiatives.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on campus recruiting and workforce planning.
  • Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, HRIS, and business leaders to align talent strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide leadership with data-driven insights on organizational capability and talent development.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Talent Management.
  • Experience designing enterprise learning and leadership development programs.
  • Strong experience administering Workday Learning or a comparable enterprise LMS.
  • Expertise in succession planning, performance management, talent reviews, and leadership development.
  • Experience developing internship, early career, or internal mobility programs.
  • Ability to conduct Training Needs Analyses and translate results into actionable development plans.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience partnering across multiple business functions and leadership levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience developing talent dashboards and reporting.
  • Experience within a multi-site, retail, consumer, or fast-growing organization is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Workday HCM is preferred.
