Job summary

Queen of Apostles School in Alexandria, Virginia is seeking a Full-Time Learning Resource Paraprofessional to provide instructional and behavioral support to students with diverse learning needs in classroom and resource settings.

Under the direction of the Learning Resource Director, you will assist students individually and in small groups, implement accommodations, and help monitor progress while fostering a faith-filled learning environment that reflects the mission of Catholic education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Familiarity with special education practices and accommodations preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students individually and in small groups.
• Reinforce academic concepts and learning objectives introduced by classroom teachers.
• Support students requiring accommodations and modifications.
• Assist in implementing interventions aligned with student learning plans.
• Assist in implementing RTI strategies and behavioral interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to plan and review progress.
