Job summary

Lam Research seeks a Sr. Learning Specialist to partner with factory site training leadership and drive alignment of global training standards and programs across our manufacturing network.

You will manage projects, gather site feedback, and deliver analytics demonstrating ROI to senior leaders while coordinating with local teams and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 6 years of equivalent learning and development experience.
  • Instructional design experience with deep understanding of learning and development principles and methodologies.
  • Capable of inspiring trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to respond quickly to changes and urgent requests and to adjust approaches to align with business needs.
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams, partner with other groups and meet program objectives.
  • Ability to read, write, and converse fluently in English.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% (includes domestic and international).

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner with factory site training leadership and partner groups to ensure learning solutions are in alignment with organizational priorities and support global training objectives.
  • Manage projects and programs to drive adoption of global training standards, processes, KPIs, and records management strategy across factory sites.
  • Gather feedback on effectiveness of global and local programs for future improvements to content and accompanying materials from sites that are executing globally owned programs.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and deliver learning analytics to demonstrate ROI to site and Manufacturing Academy and site-level leaders.
  • Administer request intake and learning project portfolio processes and assess for improvement opportunities.

Job description

The group you’ll be a part of

You willl be joining the Global Manufacturing Academy team, which focuses on enabling our employees to support the delivery of our products through innovative technical training solutions.

The impact you’ll make

The Sr. Learning Specialist loves to learn and teach, collaborates well with others, shares knowledge, and enjoys creating processes to ensure an aligned approach for technical training across our factory network. In this role, you will represent Global Manufacturing Academy as you work with manufacturing sites to drive strategic alignment and adoption of global processes and programs through active partnership with local factory training teams and leaders. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Global Manufacturing Academy.

The successful candidate is an experienced learning professional who is familiar with the development and sustainment of technical training, onboarding, upskilling, and front-line leadership development programs. In addition, candidates must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, have a passion for learning, and be committed to developing programs that support the success of employees within the Manufacturing Academy scope.

What You’ll Do

Who We’re Looking For

  • Instructional design experience with deep understanding of learning and development principles and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional skills and experience beneficial for this role include experience supporting manufacturing environments, the semiconductor industry, knowledge of SAP or other production systems, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and LMS programs such as Cornerstone on Demand.

Work Location Models

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
