Job summary

Black Hills Federal Credit Union is seeking a Learning & Performance professional to design and deliver a structured continuing education program for tellers, lenders, member service representatives and support staff. Job description

General Purpose: To design, develop and deliver learning and development initiatives for new and existing employees.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute a structured continuing education program for all tellers, lenders, member service representatives and support staff ensuring they are well-equipped to best serve members.Design, develop, and deliver in-person, self-paced, virtual, and e-learning courses to new and existing employees on a wide range of topics including, but not limited to, lending, member service, sales and service, culture, products and services, regulations, systems, and professional development. Must have ability to clearly communicate to a wide variety of group sizes in both formal and informal settings.Collaborate with management and the Learning & Performance team to plan and design regular training sessions and ensure the meetings are recorded and broadcasted for staff.Produce and design training manuals, handouts, procedures, online resources, and supplemental training materials.Contribute to the administration, implementation, and improvement of career development and staff advancement programs for front-line and other Credit Union staff.Other Duties/ResponsibilitiesRemain current on changes within the regulatory, economic, technological, and competitive environments that may affect the duties of front-line staff and other Credit Union personnel.Continually develop and improve knowledge, skills, and ability as it relates to the field of Learning & Performance.Perform administrative duties such as database management, scheduling, filing and maintaining records, providing reports, updating internal and external websites, data entry, ordering supplies, and managing relationships with key business partners and vendors.Perform other duties as may be assigned by Learning & Performance Manager.Job KnowledgeKnowledge of modern principles and practices of adult education, curriculum development, and teaching and communication methods.Knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar, composition, and arithmetic.Knowledge of Credit Union rules, products, services, regulations, and procedures.Knowledge of Credit Union philosophies, practices, policies, and interrelated functions.Technical knowledge of computer software and hardware to conduct training.Knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues for financial institutions.Knowledge of standard sales and service techniques.Job Qualifications (Skills)Black Hills FCU is committed to working with its employees to reasonably accommodate them with the physical aspects of the position. The ideal candidate should have some training or teaching experience, either at BHFCU or in another corporate setting. PFA experience is also preferred.
