Job summary

Google is seeking a Share Learning Impact Specialist for LearnX to lead learning impact methodology and GenAI evaluation across education products. You will collaborate with product teams, researchers, and educators to apply learning science in product life cycles, craft evaluation frameworks, and share findings to improve outcomes for learners.

  • Experience with instructional design or learning science principles and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of learning impact methodology for use of Google's education tools and features.
  • Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to assess GenAI tool quality and impact.
  • Conduct literature reviews and share results of foundational research on best practices for learning.
  • Consult with product teams throughout the product development lifecycle with learning science input.
  • Lead training sessions on learning science, the future of learning, and GenAI-driven outcomes.

Preferred qualifications:
  • PhD in Education, Learning Science, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience applying learning theory, with experience as an educator or tutor.
  • Experience conducting original learning science research (e.g., literature reviews, logs analysis, RCTs).
  • Experience working with partners (e.g., school districts) to launch research studies on technology's impact.
  • Experience designing evaluation frameworks for tool quality or learning impact.
  • Experience building or advising on education technology products leveraging Generative AI (GenAI).

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Lead development of learning impact methodology for use of Google's education tools and features.
  • Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to assess the quality of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools.
  • Conduct literature reviews and share results of foundational research on best practices for learning.
  • Bring learning science as you consult with product development teams (including novel products) throughout the product development life cycle.
  • Lead discussions and training sessions about learning science principles, the future of learning, and how GenAI can shape better outcomes for all learners.
