Job summary

Lancashire Care Foundation Trust is recruiting an experienced Learning Disabilities Nurse to join the Integrated Learning Disability Service across the Lancashire locality. You will work with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers, in a multi-site community setting across Lancaster and Morecambe locality.

The role requires current NMC registration, knowledge of health policy for learning disabilities, and a track record of evidence-based, innovative practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with up-to-date knowledge of health policy for learning disabilities.
• Experience with complex health needs and challenging behaviour.
• Willingness to travel and enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong clinical leadership within the learning disability team.
• Manage a defined caseload and supervise other practitioners (registered and unregistered).
• Support service development and training initiatives across three sites.
