As an instructional designer and developer, you know that even the best tools and processes can’t have an impact without the right education. Constructing an interactive course that teaches critical information requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer and developer who is committed to solving some of the Army's toughest challenges by crafting effective training.

On our team, you’ll work with SMEs, instructors, and product developers to capture your customer’s training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help them accomplish their mission. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you’ll design synchronous and asynchronous materials and support tools. You’ll build training material with instructors following the ADDIE model.

You’ll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to come up with new instructional design ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You’ll use cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies, including blended learning, screen casting, and gamification, to shape a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with SMEs, instructors, stakeholders throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you’ll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then fine-tune your training for maximum impact. We focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers, so you’ll learn new tools and skills to develop a creative learning experience that will engage students.

You Have:

Experience with developing technical learning materials for software or hardware

Knowledge of standard software authoring tools, including Articulate Storyline 360 or Adobe Captivate

Ability to upload, test, and manage content on Learning Management Systems

Ability to work smoothly with subject matter experts and stakeholders

Ability to organize tasks and meet strict project delivery timelines

Ability to write scripts and clear instructional text

Experience with developing training content and evaluations based on stakeholder requirements

Clearance:

The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
