Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a results-driven specialist to coordinate leadership development programs from inception to execution. The role partners with HR leaders, stakeholders, coaches, and vendors to ensure operations run on time and within budget.

You will manage logistics, data, reporting, and communications while building leadership readiness and capability across the enterprise, with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.

Intro

Caterpillar is committed to developing strong leaders who drive business success across the enterprise. This role supports the end-to-end coordination and execution of leadership development programs designed to build leadership readiness and capability. The successful candidate will partner closely with HR senior leaders, business stakeholders, coaches, and external vendors to manage program operations, logistics, reporting, communications, and learning initiatives while ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate and execute logistics for leadership development programs, including travel, lodging, vendor management, contracts, and event planning.
  • Manage program budgets, track expenses, monitor vendor costs, and support business planning activities.
  • Maintain program data, including participant nominations, cohorts, coaching assignments, coaching hours, leadership attendance, and program schedules.
  • Develop and report program metrics, diversity statistics, and stakeholder review data to assess program effectiveness.
  • Own and maintain program Teams sites, learning materials, coaching resources, and program communications.
  • Support the internal coaching community by facilitating quarterly meetings, providing resources, and coordinating coach/coachee matching.
  • Manage program alumni engagement and ongoing participant relationships.
  • Support annual data privacy reviews and compliance activities for leadership development programs.
  • Assess changing business learning needs and provide recommendations for leadership, professional skills, and organizational development solutions.
  • Consult with stakeholders to identify learning gaps and support the design, development, and implementation of effective learning solutions.
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver learning programs that align with business goals and learning objectives.
  • Support training needs analysis, instructional design, training delivery, learning technologies, and training solution development activities.

What You Have

  • Education/Experience: Degree or equivalent experience desired. Experience coordinating programs, learning and development initiatives, leadership development programs, training operations, HR projects, or related business programs.
  • Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, timelines, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and consulting skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and provide business guidance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience tracking metrics, evaluating program effectiveness, managing data, and identifying process improvements.
  • Knowledge of learning and development practices, including training needs analysis, instructional design, training delivery, learning technologies, and training solution development.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience supporting leadership development, executive development, coaching, or talent development programs.
  • Experience managing large-scale learning events, conferences, or leadership program logistics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 applications, learning management systems, and data reporting tools.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across a global organization.
  • Knowledge of coaching programs, leadership assessments, succession planning, and talent development processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information while maintaining data privacy and compliance standards.
  • Experience creating executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership reviews.

Summary Pay Range

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
