DPR Construction is seeking an experienced training professional in Charlotte, NC to lead hands-on and classroom instruction across multiple skilled trades. You will mentor apprentices and journeyworkers, evaluate progress, and maintain certification records to ensure standards are met.
The role emphasizes collaboration with operations and workforce development teams, with a focus on career pathways, safety and continuous learning.
This role supports the development of skilled craft talent by providing hands-on instruction, classroom training, mentorship and skills assessments across multiple construction trades and workforce development programs. Partners closely with operations, apprenticeship & journeyman programs, workforce development teams, safety and field leadership to ensure training aligns with company standards, industry best practices and project workforce needs. The ideal candidate is an experienced craft professional with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, communication abilities, and a passion for developing the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
NCCER Instructor Certification or equivalent instructional certification highly preferred
Experience supporting union and non-union workforce environments

Salary is just one component of DPR's total compensation package.
Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Richmond range: $78,000 to $97,000. Sacramento, San Diego, TX, Colorado, New Jersey, Philadelphia range: $85,800 to $106,700. Seattle, Boston, DC, Pasadena range: $93,600 to $116,400. Bay Area range: $101,400 to $126,100
