Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a discipline where learning assistance or tutoring is provided at the college.
• Equivalency may be demonstrated via the district process.
• Proficiency in working with diverse student populations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist new, first-time students in making a successful transition to college life.
• Provide information and engage students in exercises that clarify academic requirements and remove obstacles.
• Instruct on resources, study techniques, writing, critical thinking, motivation, and self-efficacy.
