Job summary

LEARN Academy seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathologist for onsite roles in Henderson. You will conduct evaluations, develop IEP-aligned therapy plans, and collaborate with teachers to integrate communication strategies into lessons.

You will monitor progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in team meetings and trainings. This role supports students with diverse needs and may involve mentoring staff and using assistive tech to improve access to the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• Evidence-based clinical practice in school settings.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ communication abilities.
• Develop and implement speech-language therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate speech-language strategies into curricula.
• Contribute to the IEP process with progress insights and recommendations.

Hiring for a Part-time or Full-time Speech Language Pathologist onsite in Henderson!

As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist at LEARN Academy, you will play a vital role in supporting students with communication needs. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based interventions that promote communication growth and student success in the educational setting.

You will work across school settings alongside teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to deliver high-quality support. Responsibilities include evaluating student needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress toward IEP goals.

What You Have

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program
• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology

What You’ll Do

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ communication abilities in areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive and receptive language.
• Develop and implement speech and language therapy intervention plans that align with students IEP goals and educational needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech and language strategies into the educational curriculum and provide consultative services.
• Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based speech and language therapy.
• Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support student access to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with the special education team to ensure occupational speech and language therapy services align with the least restrictive environment (LRE) principle.
• Mentor and/or supervise assistants or students in the speech and language therapy community.
• Provide trainings to instructional and related service staff.
