Job summary

Leggett & Platt is hiring a Quality Inspector in Kentucky to ensure all products meet customer specifications. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with a pay range of $21.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and shift.

Responsibilities include quality checks, adherence to safety and Lean practices, and ongoing process improvements. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and Lean Manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
• Lean Manufacturing environment experience.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participate in 6S/Safety Committee and document minutes and action items.
• Monitor and measure product compliance to customer requirements.
• Communicate the quality policy to all people at the facility.
• Ensure timely quality checks per quality plans.
• Make recommendations to correct problems affecting machine performance or quality.
• Control non-conforming product and ensure deficiencies are corrected.
• Verify the implementation of solutions.
• Conform to Quality/Safety requirements and keep a clean workplace.
• Participate in Continual Improvement Process for manufacturing and business processes.
• Waste reduction training and awareness.
