Job summary

Greenheck Group in Shelby, NC seeks a Production Manager to provide daily direction and leadership, maximizing productivity through staffing, equipment, and capital usage. You will coordinate with multiple departments to meet production and service goals and contribute to the S&O plan for targets and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of manufacturing experience.
• 6–8 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations management, engineering, business administration, management, or related field.
• Continuous improvement training.
• Lean manufacturing training.
• Willingness to travel (minimum travel).
• On-site work at Shelby, NC.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of hourly production employees and possibly other production supervisors, material specialists, and manufacturing support roles.
• Plan, monitor, and communicate daily, monthly, and annual production goals.
• Assist/input for the S&O plan to meet financial targets and customer service objectives.
• Coordinate activities across scheduling, engineering, production management, shipping, inventory control, sales, and purchasing.
• Monitor daily variance to plan and adjust capacity (overtime, flex labor, capital investments).
• Lead value streams and production areas, drive continuous improvement to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Define procedures with Material Specialists for proper inventory management.
• Maintain production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain 5S and safety standards in work areas and participate in safety initiatives.
