Job summary

Standard Textile invites a Process Improvement Engineer to analyze current processes, drive lean initiatives, and collaborate with manufacturing teams to cut costs and improve quality.

Based in Union, SC, the role focuses on safety, work methods, labor standards, and batch yield, applying DMAIC and Kaizen methods to deliver on-time, on-budget projects that strengthen operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in textile manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge with LEAN, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen and/or Pareto Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Improve operation costs, quality and turn time.
  • Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work methods, and labor standards.
  • Work on productivity improvement projects and initiate or manage cost reduction strategies.
  • Identify areas to reduce waste in manufacturing processes using the LEAN methodology.
  • Collect, analyze and present engineering data to evaluate projects.
  • Collaborate with the process development team to facilitate new products, process improvements and new technology.
  • Coordinate plant layouts, machine installation and start-up processes.
  • Conduct and lead project meetings.
  • Work to resolve issues, improve quality, reduce customer complaints, ensure consistent batch quality and improve material yield.
