Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Lean Practitioner to lead enterprise Lean transformations and coach teams toward operational excellence at our Franklin, Indiana site.

The role focuses on eliminating waste, improving quality and reducing costs through structured Lean methods. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in Lean deployment across manufacturing or operations, strong facilitation and cross-functional leadership, and certifications such as ASQ or Six Sigma are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Lean deployment or operations excellence.
  • Experience guiding Lean transformations in manufacturing/operations.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching abilities for all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level Lean transformation initiatives using BEOS to improve efficiency, cost and quality.
  • Coach leaders and teams in Lean tools and behaviors (value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, standard work).
  • Drive cross-functional improvement events to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, lead time, OEE, cost, productivity and engagement.
  • Promote standard work and operational discipline across the organization.
  • Uphold safety and environmental policies and PPE protocols.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Lean Practitioner leads enterprise-level Lean transformation initiatives to drive operational excellence, eliminate waste, and improve quality, delivery, and cost performance. This role serves as a subject-matter expert, coach, and change leader, enabling teams to adopt Lean thinking and sustainable continuous improvement practices across the organization.

WHAT YOU\'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Lead Lean Transformation: Develop and execute Lean strategies using our BEOS that align with business objectives and work cross-functionally to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coach and Mentor: Guide leaders, managers, and frontline teams in applying Lean principles, tools, and behaviors (e.g., value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, problem-solving, standard work, visual management).
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement: Lead cross-functional improvement events focused on root cause identification and loss/waste elimination while implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Performance Measurement: Deliver measurable improvement for business objectives such as safety, quality, lead time, OEE, cost, productivity, OTIF, and engagement.
  • Standardization: Promote standard work practices, process stability, and operational discipline throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Field of Study Preferred: Engineering, Quality, Operations, Business, or a related field is required.

Required Work Experience: 5 years of experience in Lean deployment, operations excellence, quality, or process improvement roles supporting manufacturing or operations.

Travel Requirements: N/A

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven record of leading successful Lean transformations or large-scale improvement initiatives.
  • ASQ, PMP, or other certifications preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification strongly preferred. Formal training in Lean methodologies (Toyota Production System, Shingo, etc.).
  • A strong understanding and practice of Lean principles, systems, and behaviors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent facilitation, communication, and coaching abilities for all levels of the organization.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
