Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL in Goldsboro, NC seeks a senior Production Planning/Manufacturing Project Lead to supervise launch activities, drive process improvements, and coordinate cross-functional transfer of new products.

You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, APQP tools, and ISO/TS 16949 knowledge to design manufacturing concepts, establish layouts, define schedules, and ensure equipment readiness while leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent education and experience in Engineering.
• 4 years of relevant work experience in Production Planning.
• Knowledge of Lean Production Principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, etc.
• Knowledge in ISO/TS 16949 required.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises launching performance and leads project transfer.
• Supports CI process team for process and quality improvements.
• Participates in RFQ phase activities and provides process data.
• Develops manufacturing concepts including process layouts.
• Specifies machines, tools and fixtures per standards.
• Defines process schedule and personnel requirements.
• Verifies manufacturing feasibility of products.
• Sets up and updates Standardized Work Chart.
• Conducts Process FMEA and contributes to Design FMEA.
• Checks equipment availability and prepares capex requests.
• Develops required process documentation and ensures safety and capability.
• Leads project sample manufacturing and internal testing.
• Leads new process/technology rollouts in team.
• Maintains status reporting and cross-team collaboration.
• Additional duties as assigned.
