Job summary

ACSI Houston, TX is seeking an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer focused on Lean Manufacturing to drive continuous improvement, reduce waste, and optimize processes across the facility. You will partner with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to boost safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on problem-solving skills, a background in industrial engineering, and hands-on experience with Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and TPM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Experience conducting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Standard Work, TPM).
• Facilitate continuous improvement events and kaizen workshops.
• Develop Lean metrics and dashboards.
• Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Support manufacturing with process improvements to boost productivity.
• Lead capacity planning and production efficiency modeling.
• Assist with new product introduction and manufacturing readiness.
• Participate in capital equipment evaluations and implementations.
• Drive data-driven decisions using ERP/manufacturing systems.
