Sulzer is seeking a Lead Project Expert for our Easley Factory. You will manage large-scale projects, apply advanced project management techniques, and guide teams to successful delivery on time and within scope.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and hands-on coaching to drive cost savings and operational targets at the factory level. This is an on-site position located in Easley, SC.

Formación

• Lean Black Belt certification is required for this role.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• At factory level, use lean manufacturing principles to achieve operational targets.
• Assist supervisor and managers with action plans to achieve company objectives.
• Support manufacturing improvements through tooling and equipment design and specification development.
• Improve On Time Delivery and Lead Times through lean principles and flow optimization.
• Contribute to the Factory Improvement Plan and review cost-saving projections.

Responsabilidades

About the role

Job Summary
The Lead Project Expert is responsible for managing large-scale, complex projects and providing expert guidance on project management methodologies and tools. This role ensures successful project delivery through effective planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement.
This job profile is intended for recognized subject matter experts in a job area. Required to manage large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager. Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.

• Lean Black Belt certification is required for this role.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

• At factory level, use lean manufacturing principles to achieve operational business targets.

• Assist supervisor and managers with action plan to achieve company objectives.

• Support manufacturing improvements through tooling and equipment design and equipment specification development.

• Improve On Time Delivery and Lead Times though the implementation of continuous flow, layout optimization, pull-system and speed up flows by coaching and/or leading lean principles workshops.

• Contribute to Factory Improvement Plan.

• Review continuous improvement plans and cost-saving projections, challenging where necessary, and provide feedback that drives additional improvements.

• Support continuous failure analysis in cooperation with affected areas.

• Improve Root Cause Analysis knowledge and utilization within the organization.

• Prepare and submit performance reports as required.

• Support corporate initiatives as defined by the Management Team.

• This role is 100% on-site at our Easley Factory.
