Job summary

ProAmpac in Westfield, MA, seeks a Summer 2027 Intern (Continuous Improvement Engineer) to learn from our Corporate Operational Excellence Team and assist with lean deployment across a manufacturing site.

You will lead CI projects, analyze operational data, support daily improvement systems, and help sustain CI activities while working with shop floor teams and leadership. Travel for kickoff and closing events is required, and strong English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two or three years of college completed with lean manufacturing, six sigma, and/or industrial systems coursework.
• Excellent English language fluency; additional languages a plus.
• Interest in continuous improvement and pursuing engineering.
• Experience with MS Office, Visio, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement projects across the site.
• Identify and apply best practices, operating standards, and metrics.
• Support deploying Managing for Daily Improvement as the lean management system across the site.
• Facilitate the identification, prioritization, preparation, execution, and follow up on CI initiatives across the site.
• Conduct frequent operational data analysis and reviews to support CI prioritization.
• Execute an audit program to ensure proper deployment and sustainment of CI activities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with operations and business leaders at all levels.
• Maintain the site's CI Plan.
• All other duties as assigned.
