Job summary

Sawgrass Leak Detection in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Leak Detection Technician Specialist to operate our service truck and advance into leadership as we grow.

You’ll use acoustic, thermal imaging, tracer gas, and pressure testing to locate leaks in water, slabs, pools, irrigation, and underground pipes, while documenting findings and communicating next steps to clients. This is an independent, customer-facing field role with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in leak detection or related trade.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools like acoustic equipment, thermal imaging, or pressure testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail.
• Clear, professional customer communication.
• Ability to document findings and use mobile field-service tech.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to work independently in crawl spaces, mechanical areas, pool decks, commercial properties, and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive leak detection using acoustic equipment, thermal imaging, tracer gas, pressure testing, and other diagnostic methods.
• Accurately locate water, slab, pool, spa, irrigation, and underground pipe leaks.
• Diagnose leaks with precision while minimizing unnecessary damage or disruption.
• Document findings through clear photographs, field notes, and client-ready reports.
• Explain testing results and recommended next steps directly to customers.
• Coordinate with plumbing, pool, and construction professionals when repairs are needed.
• Maintain, calibrate, and properly care for diagnostic equipment.
• Follow company procedures and safety standards on every job.
• Work independently while representing Sawgrass professionally in customers’ homes and businesses.
