Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a custodial professional for evening shift (4pm–8pm) to supervise cleaning functions in assigned buildings, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role conducts inspections, relays instructions, and participates in all custodial duties, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits. This position requires lifting up to 40 pounds and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to decipher/comprehend signs indicating danger.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ability to obtain security clearance to work at assigned site.

Responsibilities

• Aids in the supervision of all cleaning functions in assigned buildings/areas and shifts with daily follow-up.
• Participates in all areas of custodial responsibilities.
• Performs daily physical and written inspections in the zone areas for restrooms and locker rooms.
• Relays instructions from supervisor/manager.
• Ensures that equipment and supplies are maintained in clean and working condition.
• Responsible for monitoring inventory.

Shift Hours: 4pm to 8pm

Provides preventive cleaning services for Federal Agency in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. This position is responsible and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
