Hubbell Incorporated in Missouri is seeking team members for Leads and Finishing on the 2nd shift. The role involves attaching lead wires, securing connectors, and finishing units to production spec, using crimpers, tape systems and finishing machines.

You will stand for long periods, read measurements, and work independently while supporting a collaborative team. The position offers a climate-controlled facility, PTO, holidays, benefits, and a 20% shift differential on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Attach lead wires or terminals to copper wire per design requirements.
  • Crimp connectors for splicing wire or terminals using hand tools.
  • Set up finishing machine and ensure proper operation to avoid downtime.
  • Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection of cores and materials.
  • Finish units to the production specification sheet and operate a hoist safely.

Leads/Finishing 2nd Shift ($24.19-$26.29 with shift differential

This position requires attaching lead wires or terminals to the copper wire, securing and insulating these connectors from each other prior to applying insulating material and the nameplate to the outside layer of the unit per design requirements. Lead installation requires the use of hand tools and operating hydraulic or manual hand crimping tools to crimp connectors used to splice copper wire to lead wire or terminals. Finishing requires using taping machine and the ability to apply finishing insulation material by hand.

  • Finish units to the production specification sheet.
  • Ability to operate a hoist properly and safely.
