The Leadperson assists Operations Management in daily plant activities and operations, ensuring safety and compliance. Essential Functions
  • Assists Operations Management in the daily coordination of plant activities and operations, making sound decisions.
  • Responsible for the safety of employees, visitors, and themselves.
  • Enforces all Company and regulatory policies, rules, and regulations.
  • May conduct site-specific training for employees, vendors, and others at the facility.
  • Assists in troubleshooting production issues.
  • Communicates with employees regarding work assignments and correcting problems.
  • Conduct site-specific training for employees, vendors, or other persons at the facility.
  • Communication with managers and supervisors regarding plant and employee needs.

Responsibilities
Education
  • A High School Diploma is preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience in the mining or construction industry.
  • Exhibit high levels of competency, skill and proficiency in daily mining operations.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and have excellent driving skills.
  • Communicate with employees regarding work assignments and correcting problems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues.
Other Requirements
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • May work in a variety of assignments with experience and growth, such as assisting with financial reports, payroll, or procurement activities.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, pull, push, bend, and lift 50 pounds.
  • May be required to wear a respirator.
  • Must be able to work required overtime, which may include up to or more than 12 hours per day and up to 7 days per week.
  • Some level of environmental reporting responsibility.
  • Fill in for absent employees due to vacation, sickness, etc.
  • Positions may be reassigned to other duties in the plant as required.
